We are putting out a schedule for HOA meetings through December of 2008. Please use the POLL vote to indicate the best days. We'll do our best to build the meeting schedule to suit as many as possible. Thank you.

Blinded by sun on downwind

Just a note of caution. If you are approaching the downwind entry point for rwy 9 between the hours of 5 PM and 7 PM, (depending on the time of year), the sun can become a factor for seeing someone who is on the downwind. We're not use to seeing other aircraft on downwind very much, and I fell into the trap of this sunlight affect and being a little complacent. I thought I'd pass it along as a helpful reminder.

I noticed that the touchdown area of the runway is vulnerable to touch and goes. What is the policy on this. Are public aircraft (non-residents) allowed to use our runway?

My guests were not aware

I had a guest to visit me here and I forgot to explain our taxiway system and they were puzzled by the flow of aircraft. The signage is clear to me but, they didn't seem to get the message. Is it feasible to have a sign at the entrance with instructions to dial the FM radio to, say, 101.3 for important procedures while driving in Sky Manor. We could put one of those recorded FM transmitters at the entry and folks could listen if they are unfamiliar.

I was wondering about any expansion plans for the current runway. There is construction at the end. Is this construction part of a lenthening or widening project?
